Charleston students! Are you ready in the event of a flood or fire in your dorm or apartment?

With the school year finally upon us, there are many college students on the move!  Whether they are moving away from home or just moving from one dorm or apartment to another, they all have one need in common.  Renter’s Insurance!  On more than one occasion, SERVPRO of Greater Northern Charleston has watched frustrated parents and students, throw away and have to come out of pocket to replace items damaged by water, fire, or mold.

For an extremely minimal premium, most content policies cover replacement cost of contents damaged the event of a water or fire loss, living expenses if you are displaced from the unit, and possibly items borrowed from someone else that happened to be damaged in the same loss.  Some have liability coverage for injury after an accident with your pet or other incident in the home.  There is also often coverage for a burglary or financial fraud.
